Submitting Candidates to Zinc

Send Background Screening checks to candidates for them to complete via Zinc

Talos has several 3rd party providers integrated within the system.

Learn how to manage and submit candidates to complete Background Screening checks through Zinc.

Note: you will need the relevant Background Connect permissions to be able to view and submit candidates to Zinc.

Submitting a Check

Navigate to the candidate's application you would like to complete background checks and click on the 'Talos Background Connect' accordion:

Select 'Zinc' in the accordion and on the 'Candidate Details' pop-out window, select the relevant check(s) you would like the candidate to complete and then click on 'Send Request:

The status of the check will then be updated in the ATS to 'In Progress' along with the requester and the date the checks had been requested:

Additional Statuses and Reporting

Completed checks can be returned by Zinc with one of two statuses:

Completed

A completed check has been fully completed, checked and passed by the candidate and Zinc. No further action is required.

Action Required

This indicates the check has been flagged by Zinc for further review. Further information can be reviewed in Zinc by clicking on the provided link.

Reporting

At the moment, Zinc do not provide the PDF report directly into Talos. A link to view the candidate in Zinc, which contains additional information, can be accessed via the ATS.

Zinc Query process - Client Support & Escalation:

There are two pathways a customer can take when they need support -

  • Zinc Customer Success Team

This is the best place to get updates on candidates or check progress. You can contact the team at [email protected] however the best and quickest way to speak to the team is via live chat on our website. Please be advised that once on live chat the customer will have to ask to speak to an agent to be transferred to a team member. Otherwise they will be speaking to our chatbot, Zinni. We have a 24 hour average turnaround time on.

  • Account Management Team

This is the pathway for account based questions or issues they are having with their Zinc acc. The team can help navigate these issues and offer account solutions. They can be contacted by email at [email protected]. We have a 24 hour average turnaround time on email.
