What’s New?

We’re enhancing the experience by introducing support for Microsoft Word templates in the latest version of the DocuSign API. This upgrade:

  • Improves formatting fidelity and text handling

  • Resolves previous limitations with custom layouts

  • Offers a more reliable and professional document generation process

Best of all, this enhancement works seamlessly alongside your existing templates, allowing you to maintain your current workflows while benefiting from the increased flexibility and improved output quality.

Key Features & Enhancements

  • Microsoft Word Template Support
    You can now create and manage documents using Microsoft Word templates, enabling more advanced formatting and professional presentation. Create a Document Generation Template

  • Custom Fields & New Merge Fields (Sender Fields)
    Templates can include both: Custom Fields (as before) and now Merge Fields which dynamically populate with personalised data such as: Candidate names, Job titles, Start dates and more - pulled directly from your ATS or integrated system.

  • Dynamic Data Insertion
    When preparing an envelope: All available fields (custom and merge) are visible to users, Merge fields with placeholders are automatically populated with accurate data, minimise manual entry and ensures consistent, error-free documents

  • Improved Candidate Experience
    The resulting documents delivered to candidates are fully populated, clear, and personalised - leading to a smoother signing experience.
