A Main User or Team Booking on Behalf of Interview Panel Members
In this scenario, a main organiser or team member is scheduling interviews on behalf of others who may already have meetings or appointments in their diaries outside of Talos.
We would recommend the following settings for both the organisers and panel members:
For the organiser:
Enable “Ignore my availability for all bookings” (highlighted in red).
This allows the scheduler to completely ignore your availability and schedule interviews on behalf of others without restriction.
For additional interviewers:
Enable “Ignore all meetings in my calendar, other than Talos scheduled interviews. Learn more” (highlighted in green).
This setting ensures the calendar still makes slots available, even if meetings booked outside of Talos exist in their diaries.

These settings will ensure slots become available when using Self-Schedule, including custom times by:
Completely ignoring the organiser’s availability, and
Allowing the scheduler to disregard any non-Talos events in other panel members’ calendars, while still preventing duplicate Talos-related bookings within the same time slot.
If you want the Interview Scheduler to take into account all events which were added to the calendar outside of Talos when determining availability, you can adjust the settings as follows:
For all interviewers: disable “Ignore all meetings in my calendar, other than Talos scheduled interviews. Learn more” so the scheduler takes into account every event in the users diary, regardless of where it was created.
Users booking their own slots
In this scenario, users will book their own interview and depending on their requirements, we would recommend the below:
Booking an interview while disregarding other events in the diary that were booked outside of Talos.
The user will need to enable the 'Ignore all meetings in my calendar, other than Talos scheduled interviews. Learn more' setting, highlighted in green.
This setting ensures the calendar still makes slots available, even if meetings booked outside of Talos exist in their diaries.
Booking Interview, taking into account other events scheduled in the user's diary.
The user will need to keep all settings off that restrict availability.
This will allow the Interview Scheduler to pick up all of the events in the user's diary, making them unavailable.
