Text Boxes
Text Boxes are for short, snippy pieces of text - usually no longer than 5 words in a sentence.
Examples of when a Text Box could be used: Names, Mobile Numbers, Emails.
If a candidate enters too much text into a text box, this will be cut off when viewing the form answers.
Text Area
Text Areas are used for longer answers, typically a few sentences or larger.
Examples of when a Text Area could be used: Providing more information, Personal Statement, Responsibilities.
Scoring Question
Scoring Questions are used on scorecards, where the candidate is given a score based on their answer to the question.
Killer Question
A Killer Question is a quick way to filter out unsuitable candidates. You choose the answer you are looking for, and if a candidate does not match it, they can be automatically rejected.
File Upload
A File Upload question is used when the candidate needs to upload an external file from their device.
Examples: CV Upload, Personal Statement, Portfolio.
Item Select
An Item Select field is used when a question has multiple options for the candidate to choose from. It can be shown as either a dropdown list or radio buttons.
Examples: Yes/No questions, Preferred Hours.
Checkbox
Checkboxes are used for confirmation. They allow users to confirm things like whether they have read or understood information, or that something applies to them.
Dynamic Killer Questions
The Dynamic Killer Question field should be placed wherever you want these questions to appear within the application form. These questions are set up separately from the form itself, and then pulled in where the field is added. You can find our setup guide here.
Display Text
A Display Text field allows you to add extra information to the form, which is read-only. It doesn't require the candidate to answer anything.
Rich Text
A Rich Text field works in a similar way to a Display Text field, but gives you more control over formatting, such as styling, layout, and text appearance.
Date
A Date field allows the candidate to enter a specific date in the format DD/MM/YYYY. You can choose whether to allow past dates, future dates, or both.
Education History
The Education History field is a hard-coded set of questions that can be added to your form. It comes with pre-set questions relating to the candidate’s education history. The questions can be customised but not fully changed.
Employment History
The Employment History field works in the same way as the Education History field, as it is a hard-coded set of questions relating to the candidate’s employment history.
