Learn how to make amendments to your live vacancies.

Need to make an amendment to a live vacancy? Don't worry, with Talos you can!

This guide walks you through making any changes to a live vacancy, including what steps to take and the conditions for what can be amended.

You can follow this step-by-step guide to learn how to amend an advert from start to finish, or quickly jump to a specific section using the list on the right-hand side.

What amendments can/can't be made to adverts?

Generally, anything within an advert can be changed, as long as it is not drastic enough to make it a completely different advert.

Any changes to an advert that are deemed by the job boards to be against their fair usage policy, or that are advertising a separate vacancy from the one originally posted using the original credit, will not be permitted.

A job title can be altered to be more general or searchable, but cannot be completely changed from its origin. The boards view this as an attempt to advertise 2 vacancies using one advert credit.

Amending an advert location – for the same reasons as above, we can make adjustments within the same location area, but we are unable to change a location to one more than a few miles away from the original.

A vacancy that has expired, been archived, or deleted cannot be amended, as it is no longer live on any job boards.

Amending a live vacancy on the free job boards.

For clients with posting access

You can make your amendments directly on the free job boards on Talos. Simply navigate to the vacancy you want to amend and select the ‘Repost’ function.

Once you have selected 'Repost', you will be taken to the Posting Page where you will be able to make the required amendments. When reposting, it is advised to only select the free job boards as reposting to a paid job board will deduct a credit.

Information: for any roles that have been posted to paid job boards, once the role has been reposted to the free boards our Advertising Support Team will be able to make the required amendments on the paid boards for you.

Note: if you buy your credits directly with the job board, our Advertising Support Team will be unable to assist you with the amendment. If you reach out to your Account Manager at the job board, they will be able to assist you with this.
