To easily manage your users access within the system, Talos uses role based permissions, which group specific permissions with a Role which can be assigned to your users.

There are several system built permissions, which can be used 'out of the box' or you can create custom roles to define specific access if required.

Note: you will need access to the Users and Hierarchy Configuration permission to amend Roles and Permissions. This section allows you to manage all permissions within TalosATS, with each permission corresponding to a specific feature.

Permission Management

At the top, you’ll see the five default roles, each displaying the number of users assigned to that role. If you have custom roles, you can scroll through them using the carousel navigation:

Managing Permissions

• Permissions can be toggled on/off or selected from a dropdown (where applicable).

• A keyword search helps quickly locate specific permissions.

• After making changes, select “Save” to apply them.

• If no changes have been made, the Save button remains disabled.

Managing Roles

In the 'Manage Roles' page, you can:

• Edit descriptions for default roles.

• Create custom roles, assigning them unique names and descriptions.

Custom Role Rules

Custom roles work the same as default roles but offer flexibility in naming and descriptions.

• Default roles cannot be deleted.

• Custom roles can be deleted only if no users are assigned.

• If a custom role is assigned, the system will Warn you before deletion and Link you to the Manage Users page, filtering the list to show users with the selected role.
