What is ‘override an ATR’?

Overriding an ATR will skip any remaining approval process of that ATR and send this to the posting stage, so the ATR can be converted into a job post.

Can I modify a Master Template?

If the Master Template has been used to create any template (processes) within ATR builder, then making any significant changes to the Master Template will break any templates that are linked, and these templates will need to be re-created in ATR Builder.

Why can’t I see the ATR to approve/post?

When an ATR is raised, the approvers/posters are based off who was assigned at that time, either directly on the Master Template or via the placeholder set against the Master Template/Template. If you where not part of the approvers/posters at the time the ATR was raised, you will not be able to approve/post that ATR.

Can we only show ATR processes based on what has been raised on the ATR form?

Yes! We have an option called ‘Template used when’ against a template. In this field you can define what process is shown to raisers based on what they have entered on the ATR form when raising their ATR.

My ATR process is showing as broken. What is causing this?

The two most common occurrences of a broken ATR are a significant change has been made to a Master Template which has then broken any child templates linked to that Master.

If this has occurred, the templates will need to be recreated and the old templates will need to be deleted.

The second occurrence is if an ATR placeholder has no user assigned in that placeholder. If a placeholder has no user associated with it, the ATR cannot be raised as it will have no one to approve/post at that stage the placeholder is linked to. Adding a user to that placeholder will resolve this issue.

Do we need a Master Template for every process we have?

This depends on the processes you have. If all ATR’s being raised are following a two-step approval and post process for example, then you could just use one Master Template and link all your child templates to this one Master.

If your processes are different per department, then this will need a Master Template creating for each process you have in your organisation.

Can we have multiple ATR forms?

Only one ATR form can be created and be live at any one time on your Talos ATS system, and every ATR will follow the same form. We advise for this form to be as non-bespoke to a particular department as possible and to only capture the basic information of the ATR/vacancy.
