The new Applicant Screen experience is designed to keep you moving between vacancies and candidates without losing your place.

Vacancy Header

At the top of the Applicant Screen you'll find the vacancy header, showing the vacancy you're currently viewing along with quick access to everything else you're permitted to see.

Quick access to all vacancies – view a list of every vacancy you have permission to view without leaving the Applicants screen.
Direct navigation – select a vacancy from the list to be taken straight to its applicants, with no need to go back to the Vacancies page first.
Search – use the search bar in the header to quickly find the vacancy you're looking for by name.

Milestones and Panel View

The new screen is laid out in distinct sections with a clear overview of the information that matters the most:

Milestone visibility - the view you are most familiar with, showing your milestones and number of candidates in each one, with a hover view to see your progression stages and filter by the stages.
Candidate List - a collapsible left-hand panel provides you with a list of all candidates in that stage. Infinite scrolling means you no longer have to switch between pages of candidates, providing greater visibility.
Candidate Application - your main view of the candidate information, with all of the accordions that you are familiar with. Each accordion has been upgraded in line with the new screen, providing a better user experience.
Candidate Panel - a collapsible right-hand panel, allowing you to view details about each candidate and manage things such as star ratings, highlights, and add candidate notes all in one convenient location.

Moving Between Candidates

Once you're viewing a candidate, use candidate navigation to move to the next or previous candidate within the same milestone or progression stage – there's no need to return to the candidate list between each one.

Notifications

In-app notification pop-ups appear directly on the new Applicant Screen, so you can stay on top of key actions as they happen without needing to switch screens.

Notifications fire for the same kinds of events you're used to being alerted to elsewhere in Talos – for example, a candidate completing a Data Capture Form will trigger an in-app notification to any user with access to that job who has the relevant notification switched on.

Roles and Permissions

The new Applicant Screen introduces a handful of permissions alongside the ones you're already using in Talos. You can manage these in the existing admin screen, and you can view our Roles & Permissions article for how to manage these.

Note: To enable the Applicant Screen permissions, the screen will first need to be enabled. Please contact your Customer Success Manager to find out more about this if you are not yet using the new Applicant Screen experience.

Below you can find an overview of the permissions, and what these control in the screen.

Can Toggle New Applicant Screen	Applicable where the new screen is yet to be rolled out to your full organisation, this permission allows users to toggle between the legacy screen and new screen to explore new and enhanced features.
Can Delete Own Candidate Notes	Delete any Candidate Notes that you have created.
Can Delete Others Candidate Notes	Delete any Candidate Notes created by other users.
Can View Candidate Notes For All Vacancies	Enables the option to view all Candidate Notes for a particular candidate across all vacancies they have applied for.
Can Add Candidates	View the option to manually add candidates via the Vacancy Manager for any vacancy you have access to.
Can Anonymise Candidates	Allows users to manually anonymise candidates that have requested for their data to be removed before the end of the data retention period.
Can View Candidate Data Retention Status	View candidates data retention status before they have been anonymised.
Can Communicate with Candidate	Allows users to communicate ad-hoc with candidates via the new screen.
Can View Vacancy Analytics	View a dedicated vacancy dashboard giving you real-time insights into application volumes, source performance and interview data for each vacancy.
Can Copy Candidates	Copy a candidate from one vacancy to another, and select documents to copy with the candidate.
Can Move Candidates	Move a candidate from one vacancy to another, and select documents to move with the candidate.
Can Manage Vacancy Documents	View and manage documents associated with vacancies.
Can Manage Vacancy Settings	View and manage vacancy workflows and settings.
Can Manually Assign Data Capture Forms	Manually assign data capture forms to a candidate outside of a progression stage change.
