Candidate Application Panel

Find out about the accordions that you are familiar with on the new Applicant Screen, plus managing the candidates through your recruitment workflow.

Written by Lisa Cunliffe

The Candidate Application Panel is the view will be familiar with from the legacy applicant screen, with additional features and updates.

More information on Viewing & Managing candidate information can be found in this guide.

Candidate Avatar

From the centralised Candidate Panel, once you have selected a candidate, hover over a candidate's avatar for quick access to their contact information without needing to open their full profile. You can also copy a candidate's information directly from their avatar profile by hovering over the desired information.

The avatar information will expand as additional information such as scores and flags are applied to the candidate.

Accordions

The accordions on a candidate's profile are central to your recruitment workflow, containing all the relevant information and actions required to manage your candidates. The accordions can now be ordered to suit how your team actually works.

Managing Accordion Order & Visibility

Once the new Applicant Screen is enabled, users with the Recruitment Workflows admin permission will have access to a Manage Accordions menu item.

From here, you can view all of the accordions available on the applicant screen (based on the features you are using). You can manage:

  • Which milestone each feature should be visible

  • Order of the accordions to best suit your recruitment workflow.

Simply toggle the accordions on or off for each milestone, or drag and drop to re-order.

Once set, the new order applies for every user across all vacancies, helping your team move through the accordions that matter most to your process first.

Application Accordion

The Application accordion is where you'll review the detail of what a candidate has submitted, with a more structured layout than before plus some new additions.

Summary

A new feature of the Applicant Screen, the Summary tab provides the following:

  • Commute Time - calculate a candidates exact commute time to the vacancy, pending the candidate and the vacancy both have a full postcode available. Select the candidates start time, and the commute time will automatically be calculated.

  • Career Summary - view a full summary of the candidates career history, including any employment gaps, based on the CV provided including the job held, dates and duration.

Note: Career History is generated from the CV a candidate has submitted, so its accuracy depends on the information and formatting of that document.

CV & Application Form

View a candidates CV and their completed application form as separate tabs within the same accordion. A candidates CV will also be added to the Documents section of the Candidate Activity Panel (application form coming soon to the Documents section).

You can now search the CV directly, or use the Advanced Keyword Search in the Filters to quickly identify the information that matters most in a CV.

The Application Form tab will display any answers provided by a candidate on the form associated with a job, including any scores and flags. Answers to ED&I sections will not be visible against a candidate.

Past Applications

See every previous application a candidate has made, without needing to search for them separately. This tab will provide a direct link to any other vacancies that the candidate has applied for, in line with the vacancies that a user has access to.

Assessments

Send your configured Assessments to candidates from the accordion, choosing your assessment and an optional expiry date.

Requested assessments will display in the accordion, with real-time statuses visible in the accordion for quick visibility on where a check is up to.

To configure Assessments, please reach out to your Customer Success Manager or you can view this guide.

Assessment Connect

Use Talos Connect to configure Assessment providers. For any assessments sent to candidates, you can view their scores directly in the Candidate List as well as in the accordion.

Any reports or documents will be available to download in the Documents section of the Candidate Information Panel (pending you have the Assessment Connect Downloader permission).

You can also sort your candidate list by score, making it easier to identify the strongest matches at a glance. You can read more about filtering and the candidate list in this guide.

Auto Progression for Assessment Connect

You can also set up auto-progression for Assessment Connect to automatically progress or reject candidates based on assessments completed. This is available across different providers, and you can set multiple criteria to automate more of the candidate journey.

Please reach out to your Customer Success Manager to enquire about setting up auto-assessments for Assessment Connect.

  • Job Title

  • Currency

  • Salary Type

  • Salary Extras

  • Office Address (using the location and postcode from the vacancy)

All other fields are optional and need to be manually completed.

Inviting a Candidate to Onboarding

Within the Offer Details accordion, you can also invite a candidate to view your Onboarding site. Based on the Offer section of the published onboarding site, details added to the Offer Details accordion will be visible to the candidate. The details that can be included on your onboarding site includes the below:

Any reports or documents will be available to download in the Documents section of the Candidate Information Panel (pending you have the Certn Downloader permission).
